Pembroke Welsh Corgi
The
Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a small breed of herding dog. They enjoy
participating in your activities like biking and walking, or playing
soccer. They are always ready for some fun. They are playful,
affectionate, and energetic
playmates for children and adults. The breed is easily trained
because of its desire to please. But they can be bossy, so need to have rules and regular training or they may become tyrants running the household. They are very smart and can do well in obedience or
agility training. The Pembroke's coat is short and thick with
a dense undercoat. It lies flat and full on the back of the forelegs
and under parts. They shed EVERY day of the year. The coat colors include, red, sable,
fawn and black and tan with or without white markings on legs,
chest, neck, muzzle,or under parts and a narrow white blaze on
the head. The Pembroke Corgi stands 10-12 inches tall and weighs
20-30 lbs. Our smallest female weighs 22lbs, our male is 28lbs.
Italian Greyhound
The
Italian Greyhound or IG is a small affectionate breed that like
to cuddle right up with you. It is the smallest of the sighthounds.
It is a ancient breed that looks like the Greyhound in miniature.
It is
streamlined and speedy. The
IG is very sensitive to cold so be prepared to share a cozy blanket
with yours. But it loves a chance to run. They are finely boned
and should be treated with respect for its
size. They are a quiet breed,
rarely barking. They can be reserved with stranger but willing
to make friends when introduced.(Our breeding program is strongly devoted to improving the temperment while preserving the conformation of our dogs.) Many vets are surprised to meet our Very Outgoing puppies! They truly excel at what they
were bred for which was being a companion.
The IG's coat is short and
fine. The coat can be kept in great condition by wiping it down
every day or so with a chamois cloth. They come in almost any
color and pattern much like its bigger cousin the
Greyhound. The Italian Greyhound
is about 13-15 inches tall and weighs 8 to 18 lbs. We start all our IG pups with litterbox training.
Miniature Pinschers -
Min Pins
The
Miniature Pinscher is truly the "King of Toys". This
Pinscher has been known to bluff dogs twice his size. Animated,
playful, loyal, fearless, lovable. All these are attributes of
the Min Pin. The Min Pin is structurally a well-balanced, sturdy,
compact, short-coupled, smooth coated dog. He naturally is well
groomed, proud, vigorous and alert. Characteristic traits are
his hackney like action, fearless animation, complete self-possession
and his spirited presence. Another excellent feature of the Min
Pin is that the breed is very long lived, the person who acquires
a young Min Pin can look forward to many years of enjoyable canine
companionship. The Min Pin has exceptionally keen hearing and
he becomes a good watch dog, warning off all visitors with an
authoritative bark. Miniature Pinschers differ somewhat in personality,
but the majority seem to have an instinct for entertaining. Provide
an appreciative audience, and your Min Pin will eagerly perform
any tricks he has been taught or may even improvise his own for
the amusement of his family. Some actually try to join in human
conversation by making word-like noises which are different from
the normal barking or whining sounds of dog. The Miniature Pinscher
is definitely here to stay. In recent years, more and more people
are recognizing the breeds fine qualities. Aside from his making
a desirable pet and companion, an aristocratic bearing and clean
cut appearance, command attention wherever the Min Pin is seen.
His small size enables him to adapt to any environment. Min Pins
love the sunshine and a soft pillow.
